My name is Anna and I live and work in Hertfordshire. I have always enjoyed the arts but it was in 2015 that I discovered my passion for abstract painting and began the to experiment with paint and collage.
At the time I was experiencing a series of traumatic challenges and I found that painting enabled me to channel and express my emotions in a way that words and talking could not. This was the start of my journey to self discovery and recovery - I realised the transformational power that creativity held and my hope is to share this with as many people as possible
I exhibit locally, paint commissions for homes and businesses, run workshops for both adults and children and work locally supporting people with their recovery and well being through various art projects and schemes including Art on Prescription and Creative Hertfordshire

I am a self-taught, intuitive abstract artist who uses a combination of techniques and multi-media including acrylic paint, decoupage, collage, paint pens and textiles to express and reflect my emotions.
When I begin a new piece I will have an idea of what I want to create, but often ideas manifests and flow as I watch the paint move and blend. I quite like the freedom this brings and I find the whole process of creating an artwork incredibly mindful and relaxing.
I love to share my work and am a regular stall holder at Hemel Old Town Sunday Market. Do drop by to see my latest work and have a chat.
Winner of Dacorum's Individual Green, Safe and Clean Award in 2018, I am a keen recycler and incorporate this into all I do.
I am an active member of Herts Visual Art and currently co-ordinate artists across Dacorum.
I've been involved in some exciting and innovative projects within the museum education sector including designing a sensory map and Arts Award Discover booklet for Chiltern Open Air Museum; leading family art workshops in museums across Herts, Beds and Bucks and organising a family STEAM workshop and community college at the London Canal Museum.
I enjoy working in schools delivering assemblies and facilitating whole school art projects and murals.
Supporting local Charities is very important to me and I currently lead a number of weekly art for well being groups for Strive as well as regular workshops at Dens and Workaid.
I am passionate about 'Arts on Prescription' and currently work with Three Rivers District Council delivering courses.
This year I am going to be very involved in Herts Year of Culture 2020 so look out for local events which I will tell you about via my blog and workshops!
